Akin to Kindness

He traced the skies, following the steady direction of her tiny hand.
A steady patience shone in her eyes, as she continued to scan the heavens amidst the stars.

It was nights like this that he felt he truly saw her best, when the movements of the day had released her from her duties, allowing her tender mind and spirit to softly wander, lost in the gentle gaze of the stars.

Her hand stayed but a moment, as a warm grin lit her face. Touching her head to his muzzle, she identified the source of her affection.

"That's your star," she said, with a sincerity in her heart her small voice could scarcely contain.
"It lead me to you.. the night she left with the storm."

A benevolent grace lit his eyes as he gently whispered, "Nomine, you are my star."

These two characters have been with me for so many years now... they were my escape all those years ago back in school. ^^
They were my ideals, my aspirations, my physical form to the belief that there must still be compassion in this world, even if my life seemed devoid of it.

I am so very proud of how much they've grown. Some of you, though not many may almost recognize them from this much older pic ([link])
Their appearances have grown along with me, and evolved to encompass a much greater beauty then they ever initially possessed.

I must apologize for that nasty watermark, but until I can design my own It will remain stamped across their visage.
I love you all, but I fervently refuse to loose them.
